so, this was my first time here at the German Village Breakfast & Lunch Coffee Shop... made a great first impression though. the food was great, and the service was cool. fuckin cook was bustin his ass man! it was like one dude cookin for the whole spot. granted, it's not a big place, it's just a small coffee shop. but he was cookin it all... eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns... yea, tasty.. lol here goes somes pics of course... enjoi

i for one, cannot fuckin STAND meter maids! now, this wasn't my situation, but i can relate to the frustration this lady must feel. like, you ever feel like you at least had the opportunity to catch the meter maid when he or she was putting the ticket on the windshield... the state needs to cut their jobs if they wanna save money and prevent a civil war! next meter maid i see near my car, i'm cursin out. sry, but it comes with the territory.

you ever go to a chinese restaurant and order some take out, then go home, get full, then get hungry again in like...idk...45 mins! that's b/c some restaurants use msg...actually a lot of restaurants do. msg (monosodium glutamate, also known as sodium glutamate) is a food additive/flavor enhancer and honestly, it's HELLA unhealthy...i thought i was gonna pass out from the "msg rush" i had earlier...it's like bein high, drunk, thirsty, horny, havin the bubble guts, and tired all at the same time. if that doesn't scare anyone, then there's somethin wrong.

it's hard to get rid of selfishness for some people. more than others when it comes to relationships. sometimes it's because you deliberately choose not to...and sometimes you're just out of practice because you haven't had to worry about someone else's wants or needs. no siblings, no long history of significant others...nothing. doesn't mean you can't try though. if you're like i am, and haven't been able to be more selfless than selfish...take the time to recognize your behavior and try to focus on it. it may be that one thing that shows the people you love exactly how much you love them.

ok. if you're in columbus right now, you know what it's like for me to try and find the beauty in the gloom. the weather's been kinda shitty for the past couple of days, and as my homie Nstinx would say, "it's so seattle out this week!"...i'm not a mope or a debby downer, and i've been able to find the beauty in this gloomy weather. these are those times when you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, you're out of breakfast food, you're tank's on 'e', and you're late for work....ok ok ok...this day sucks! unless you see it as an opportunity to reach triumph. get a grip on the monkey bars of life (though they may be slippery and hidden in fog) and keep it moving. ain't nothin goin on but the rent and this fuckin grind lol...so let's keep it up people. i'm gonna keep movin. i hope you move with me.

through the most recent developments in my life, i've come to realization, that love, is in fact, one hell of a drug. lol i mean, it sounds funny when i hear my self say it like that, but it truly is. this grind isn't easy man...and it's gotta get tough before it does get easy. and what i realized is, this is the toughest part of my life thus far. i'm reaching that next level of growth and to break the barrier i have to mature in ways i haven't had to ever before. there's plenty of beauty in it all...the struggle i mean. and the one thing that's truly kept me going is love. the love of my mother. the love of my girl. the love of my friends, my brothers, my team. it has truly kept me going. i take pride in the fact that i've come this far and absolutely decided that there's no turning back. i couldn't if i tried. i've come too far.

i'm making the best music of my life right now. i can't wait to share it with the world and display it on any stage given to me. i will be legendary. mark it, tag it, add it, flag it...I'M ON MY WAY.

As of late, I've been dealing with a lot of self-exploration to do my best to understand exactly what's goin on with my patterns in my work ethic. I've channeled my grind though and it feels great. Now to be all the way real about my circumstances, I haven't kept up with my blog that well b/c my mac's adapter decided to quit on me...like it just stopped workin, it's dead to the world. So what's gonna happen is, I'm gonna try to be as consistent with you people as possible so that I can't keep you up to date with what's goin on in my life. For the few of you that do pay attention to this blog, I appreciate the fact that you even tune in.

What I've challenged myself to do though, is keep up with it so that the people that aren't up on Poitier Pockets that will be in the future, can come back to these posts, and say "Damn, he called it back in July 09, that he'd be famous, and that he'd have the opportunities to share his music with the world." I'll always be Christian, but as this journey continues, I'm gonna show the world what Poitier can do. For those that doubt me, I need you to keep it up cause I can't do this alone. For those that support me, I need YOU to keep it up, because I cannot do this alone. And as for the rest....hahaha, I got this!

I'M SORRY FOLKS!

I'm pretty bad at keeping up with this blog...but please understand it's not because I'm lazy, more so busy than anything else. I mean so much shit has happened since I last blogged, hasn't it? The Lakers won the finals (no complaints there). Michael Jackson passed away (BIG complaint there!). Ok, so I wasn't a die hard fan, but it's Michael Jackson, come on! Guess God's gotta do what God's gotta do sometimes. It does suck and he will be missed.

More than likely I'll release a mixtape as we get closer to finishing the LP, but it looks like the release date will be around the beginning of July. I love this bloggin stuff man...I know this is really just my second entry but I feel like I can now share the gifts of my interests to all of you. Now the thing about some people's blogs is that they simply do what everyone else is doing on their blog... Well fuck that shit, NOT ON HERE!
